I am a geopolitical risk analyst and strategic consultant with 20 years experience in the Middle East and North Africa. I have worked with a range of governmental and commercial clients in forecasting and mitigating geostrategic and geopolitical risks. My extensive cross-sector networks provide me with access and depth back home in the UK and across the MENA region.

I have been working in professional military and civil service education for nearly 15 years across UK Defence and overseas. As an associate professor at King's College London's School of Security Studies, I have been seconded to the UK Defence Academy and the Royal College of Defence Studies educating senior strategic leaders from around the world.

I frequently write commentaries and provide insights and analyses on contemporary affairs in the Middle East and North Africa to a variety of media outlets, in print, online, radio and television. My commentaries and my expert insights have been printed mostly in English media but have also been translated into other languages. I have been invited onto shows on the BBC, France24 and Al Jazeera among others. In the print media my expert comments and opinions have been published across the world inter alia in the New York Times, Le Monde, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, and the Guardian.
